BBA Pumps BV are a leading global manufacturer of mobile pumps and piping systems. BBA Pumps are designed with a clear focus on reliability, efficiency and durability. When Boskalis Nederland required a fuel efficient high flow reliable pump to support widening and rerouting of a major motorway through the Netherlands, they turned to mobile pump manufacturer BBA Pumps. BBA Pumps subsequently deployed their BA-C500S11 D711 water transfer pump unit to support widening and rerouting of the A1 motorway through Muiden.
As the project required Boskalis to pump a mixture of sand and water along the existing highway, BBA pumps selected a mobile pump equipped with a Volvo Penta TAD1374VE 13 Litre Stage IV diesel engine with 375 kW capacity. This proved the perfect fit for the project at hand. Powered by Volvo Penta, BBA Pumps demonstrated how high density slurry and fluids can efficiently and safely be pumped over long operational distances.
